Twilight - Shiny Edward Icon

I made this icon for a friend of mine. The quote comes from an awesome summary of the Stephanie Meyer novel "Midnight Sun" (basically the first Twilight book, but from Edward's point of view) done by cleolinda on her LiveJournal. It is freaking hilarious. You can find it here: [link]

I want to make it clear that I have read all 4 Twilight books (I own them all in hardback) and seen the 2 movies that have come out. The writing is cheesy, cliche and at times, down right horrible, but dear God in heaven, it satisfies that 13-year old little girl inside me.

I also enjoy laughing at it. I love being able to joke and laugh about the things I love and the things I hate. I don't hate Twilight. In fact, I enjoy it quite a lot. What I do hate are the crazy fans who bash someone just because they poked some fun at their fandom. I believe that if you truly are a fan of something, you can see and appreciate some of the hilarious things that are created because of it. Even if you don't necessarily agree with them.
